PS3 Media Server Hi10P Playback

Based on this thread on the PS3 Media Server forum, here are the steps I followed to enable Hi10P (H.264 10-bit) playback using PS3 Media Server on Windows 7 x64 SP1.

Download the following files:
To enable playback, do the following:
  1. Install the K-Lite Codec Pack 780 Mega pack.
  2. Install the K-Lite Codec Pack 64bit 530 pack.
  3. Install AVISynth 2.5.7.
  4. Unzip VSFilter2.37and2.39_20090624.zip.
    1. Run vsfilter.2.37_win32.exe to install DirectVobSub.
    2. Unzip VSFilter_20090624.zip and copy VSFilter.dll to C:\Program Files (x86)\AviSynth 2.5\plugins
  5. Run Win7DSFilterTweaker (from K-Lite Codec Pack - Tools).
    1. Go to Preferred Decoders. For both 32- and 64-bit, change the H.264 encoder to ffdshow.
  6. Install PS3 Media Server 1.40.0.
    1. Under Transcoding Settings, AviSynth/MEncoder should now be enabled.
    2. Under AviSynth/MEncoder uncheck the Enable AviSynth variable framerate....
    3. Under FFmpeg Audio uncheck the Automatic audio resampling....
Restart your PC if required. Start PS3 Media Server and go to your PS3.

Navigate to the folder with the file you want to play, and go to the #TRANSCODE# folder.

Select the file you want to play, and use the [AviSynth/MEncoder] entry to play the file.
